Hello, how are you?
Life can feel unfair, overwhelming, impossible at times. Maybe you are finding yourself caught in cycles of anxiety, stress or self-doubt. Perhaps you are feeling low, stuck in a life that does not quite feel like yours, worn down by a critical inner voice that never seems to quiet. You may carry shame that you cannot quite name or find yourself replaying old wounds from childhood, from relationships, from people who should have known better. You might be navigating difficult relationships, questions of identity and belonging or struggle with emotional abuse and narcissistic harm. Whatever brought you here, you are welcome.
A space for you.
Sometimes just knowing that something is not right is enough of a reason to seek support. You do not need a diagnosis or a crisis; you just need a space where you can be honest without having to manage how you come across. That is what I offer. A place to slow down, look inward and begin to find your way back to yourself at your own pace, with curiosity and self compassion.
How I work:
I am Alina, a Psychodynamic, Integrative and Humanistic counsellor, passionate about understanding emotional pain and what lies beneath it. In my work, I often see how bringing awareness to our patterns moves us from disconnection and automatic ways of being towards meaning, intention and purpose.
I work in a dynamic, engaged way, drawing on Psychodynamic Therapy, Schema Therapy, Inner Child work and Parts Work. Sessions are likely to feel alive and collaborative, I do not sit back and wait, but stay present with you and accompany you into the moments that matter.
Areas I work with:
A little about me.
I have worked with Bright Start Bath, Bath Spa University, Keynsham Children's Centre and Southside Bath, alongside running my private practice.
Growing up in a different culture has given me a particular sensitivity to identity, shame, difference and the experience of not quite fitting in. I know what it is to navigate belonging, loss and transition across cultures and that lived experience shapes how I show up for clients whose backgrounds, stories or struggles sit outside the mainstream.
I hold an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling (BCPC) and am a Registered Member of the BACP (411768), a member of Psychology Today, and a CAPPP member.
Getting started: no pressure, no commitment.
I offer a free initial 60-minute session by phone, online, or face to face, so you can get a feel for how we might work together before making any decisions.
Sessions are £50 for a full 60 minutes. Available online or in person in Bath and Bristol.
